Thoughtful software and web development for small businesses.
A one-person studio in Norderstedt, just outside Hamburg. Custom websites, online shops and automation — a handful of engagements each year, hands-on from kickoff to launch.
What I build for small businesses
Web development & websites
Fast, modern websites that work on every device and get found on Google. From a single landing page to a multilingual company site — built cleanly, without page-builder bloat.
Online shops & ordering systems
Sell or take orders straight from your own site. Payments, cart and an admin area included — like the catering shop built for KiM’s.
SEO & online marketing
So customers can find you: search engine optimization, a well-tended Google Business Profile and the technical foundation Google rewards. From setup to ongoing improvement.
Custom software & internal tools
When off-the-shelf software doesn’t fit: tailored applications and internal tools that match your workflow exactly — not the other way around.

How I work.
I'm Julian Hansen, and I build thoughtful software for clients who value getting things right over getting them fast. You talk to the person writing the code — from the first conversation through deployment and beyond.
I take on a small number of engagements each year. Focused work, clear scope, no half-built projects competing for attention.
Frequently asked questions
What does a website or custom software cost?
It depends on scope. A simple website starts lower than a custom application with ordering and payments. You get a clear fixed-price or framework quote before the project starts — no surprises.
How long does a project take?
A modest website is often live within a few weeks. Larger systems with a shop or automation take longer. Because I take on only a few projects at a time, I work focused and without a queue.
Do you only work in Norderstedt and Hamburg?
I’m based in Norderstedt, right next to Hamburg — in-person meetings in the region are always possible. The work itself runs fully remote, anywhere in Germany.
Can I maintain the website myself later?
Yes. On request you get a simple admin area to manage content, products or orders yourself — no technical knowledge required.
Page builder (Wix, Shopify) or custom development?
Builders are fine for a fast start but hit limits on custom workflows, performance and long-term cost. Custom development pays off once your requirements go beyond the template.
What happens after launch?
I keep supporting projects after launch — updates, extensions, and the same point of contact who wrote the code.
